“Honorable Mention” for the 2013 NASSS Barbara Brown Student Essay Award

I earned “honorable mention” for the 2013 North American Society for the Sociology of Sport’s Barbara Brown student essay award in recognition of my paper, “Towards a Feminist Physical Cultural Studies: Reflections from an ‘Outsider Within.’” I presented the paper at the NASSS annual conference in Quebec City, Canada, November 6-9, 2013.

The 2013 ISSA Graduate Student Paper Award

I won the 2013 International Sociology of Sport Association’s graduate student paper award.
